I am the first to admit that I am a chocoholic. And yes, my children and husband have been known to bribe me with the delectable treat! For many years, I was strictly a milk chocolate addict, but over the years, I have read about the benefits of dark chocolate and thought I should be “good” and substitute it for milk chocolate “some of the time”. What I discovered is that it is really quite delicious and, hold on to your hats, now my preferred chocolate. We sell Lindt chocolates, so I have had the luxury of sampling the world’s best,in my opinion, from milk all the way to 85% dark. Of course, I’ve already said I was a milk chocolate junkie. Lindt milk truffles are one of my favorite chocolate treats. When I decided to dip my toes in the dark chocolate pool, I started with Lindt’s Madagascar bar (65%). Yum!, I thought. So I decided to move up to their Ghirardelli Twilight Delight bar (72%)…….delicious! My last step was to try their Lindt Excellence 85% Cacao bar. I was surprisingly impressed! Now, when my cravings hit, I usually reach for the Twilight bar or 85% Cacao bar. I feel good knowing that although I am indulging, I am eating something that is good for me……..ok, ok, in moderation, I know! But one day, I think we’re going to find out it is SO good for us, it will become a staple food ( or so I’m hoping!)
