Some companies do not offer an 800 number for their customers. Some only allow orders to be placed over the internet, not by phone. I have a problem with this and generally do not order from sites that don’t offer these services.
We have our 800# at the top of every page. I want our customers to be able to reach us whenever they need to. I understand that not everyone is comfortable placing orders over the internet. I’m not always comfortable placing orders over the net and I’m in the internet shopping business! Sometimes, I like to call companies and speak to a real live person to ask questions before placing my order. I don’t want to have to email and then wait for a response. I will not offer my customers less than what I expect!
I know some people have concerns about submitting their credit card information over the internet, although our site is completely secure (we are McAfee Secure compliant on all of our sites). They still have some misgivings. We have no problem accepting orders over the phone. Many times phone orders are more appropriate. For example, when you need something more customized, have a unique gifting situation or need guidance choosing something appropriate. You are never a bother (don’t you hate when you call a company and they treat you like you’re REALLY making their life difficult) We are never too busy to help and you will always be greeted with a friendly voice, guaranteed. Remember, we are only a phone call away.
